Burnside is Chicago community area 47, a 0.6-square-mile area on the Far Southeast Side, about 11 miles from the Loop. Burnside is one of the city’s smallest community areas, a few blocks of homes bounded by rail lines between Chatham and Pullman. It is mostly single-family houses.
